Former HCFO grantee, Gregg S. Meyer, M.D., Partners Healthcare System, was appointed to the Joint Commission’s Board of Commissioners. Dr. Meyer is an expert in quality and patient safety and has held leadership positions at the Edward P. Lawrence Center for Quality and Safety at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Massachusetts General Physicians Organization, and the Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). His HCFO-funded work examined the impact of administrative complexity on physicians and addressed administrative simplification challenges and opportunities.
