HCFO Researcher Receives Victor Fuchs Lifetime Achievement Award

Mark V. Pauly, Ph.D. has been named the 2012 recipient of the Victor R. Fuchs Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Health Economists. Dr. Pauly is the Bendheim Professor in the Department of Health Care Management, Professor of Health Care Management, and Business and Public Policy at The Wharton School.  He is Co-Director of the Roy and Diana Vagelos Life Sciences and Management Program and Professor of Economics in the School of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Pauly was recognized for his substantial contributions to the field of medical economics and health insurance, including his classic study on the economics of moral hazard. He received this award at the Fourth Biennial Conference of the American Society of Health Economists (ASHEcon) held in June 2012 in Minneapolis, MN.
