Findings from a HCFO-sponsored study led by J. Ateev Mehrotra, M.D., policy researcher at RAND and a member of the research team, stated, “This study provides more evidence that efforts to create physician cost profiles are still a work in progress. More work is needed in order to make cost profiling a meaningful tool to curb health costs.”
