  • January 2010

2009 was a year of challenges and opportunities for all facets of the health care sector. It was marked by an unstable economy and rapid movement toward health reform. Like many entities that support research and work to inform policy, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation’s HCFO program adapted throughout the year to the evolving environment by exploring the potential policy impact of funded studies and grant proposals in relation to proposed health reform.

The Changes in Health Care Financing and Organization initiative supports research projects that will provide public and private decision makers with usable and timely information on health care policy, financing, and market developments.
